I’ve spent 9 years designing cutting-edge tech, including 7 on Apple Vision Pro, building first-party apps and system features for visionOS.
I’m at my best in the most ambiguous problems requiring natural inputs like hands, gaze, and voice. I ideate widely, structure the design space with taxonomies rooted in HCI research, and uncover the ideal feeling for users. Then I build prototypes with engineers that capture that feeling while staying grounded in real constraints.
I envision and build the humanity that’s
hiding in emerging technology.

Siri AI
As design lead, I proposed how Siri could look, move, and live in your space on Vision Pro. Drawing on animation and HCI research, we landed on a lively but not human-like presence, that listens with just a glance, and shows what it’s paying attention to. The final prototype informed the shipping version of Siri for Vision Pro.

Persona Enrollment
Our prototype confirmed that setting up your Persona with just the headset was both possible and intuitive. We designed around the limits of a brand new display and external camera capture ranges. Our prototype was green-lit and enrollment was kept entirely on Vision Pro with no other Apple device required.

Freeform
I designed mechanics for arranging content in space, primarily plucking content off a board and flinging it to another place with one smooth motion. I also worked on quick clustering of ideas, and mapping clusters between 2D and 3D layouts.

FaceTime
Among many explorations for copresence, I performed a deep dive into how people and apps move, recenter, and rearrange themselves. It worked from completely differently constraints than seen in virtual reality’s locomotion mechanics.

Safari
My proposal to zoom to view all tabs shipped with the final version of Safari. Patented concepts also explored Z-stacked tab arrangements and deep multimodal search.

Concept
Theater
A concept for spatial broadcast, where one person with a Vision Pro can run a show that feels as grand as going in person. I built a dynamic applause system so the crowd sounds bigger and louder as more people react. The design went on to inform multiple teams within Vision Products.

About
I learned to problem solve as an engineer, then moved my way into designing for spatial computing at Magic Leap before joining Apple.
Along the way I realized, what makes a product successful to me is not how well it performs, but how it makes people feel. So I start by forming my opinion on what someone should feel, then work my way backwards to the design that gets there. That means going deep first and then building it, because an idea isn’t finished to me until I can experience it.I’m an optimist about technology. I believe it can elevate our experience of life and each other, as long as it earns its place. Design is how I try to improve people’s lives, and it brings great purpose to my own life too. I bring that same care to the people I work with, with the belief that the best ideas can come from anyone. I use my expertise to shape a diverse range ideas into a clear and principled direction.
